I don’t think I’ve mentioned it, but guess what I’m hosting tomorrow night? No, not naked mud wrestling (sorry, Mister…) A Twilight Part-ay! (I heard you mumbling “dork” under your breath, btw…) The movie comes out tonight at midnight and we are having a get together (all ladies, of course… Except the Mister swears he’s going to dress up like Edward and crash the party…)
We are having red wine, bloody mary’s and a drink called The Vampire, all in pitchers marked O+ and AB- and the like… We are decorating with black, white and red… Apples, vampire stuff, silver and crystal, twinkle lights… We have fangs and bite mark tattoos as favors… Really Vampiring it up. We are also serving lots of munchies, some of which are themed as well! OH, and we are going to serve the drinks out of white solo cups with bendy straws, a la Bella feeding the in utero Nessie…
So, I have ten million thousand things to do today. Of course, if you’ve read this blog long enough, you know that when I have a party, I can’t just clean up like a normal person. I have to redo things, buying new furniture, draperies, accessories… Plant flowerbeds and paint walls… Clean carpets and upholsteries… And, since I work better under pressure, I wait until the last minute… (That’s what I tell myself anyway… Nothing to do with being a procrastinator of the absolute worst kind…)
So, the Mister did his Friday morning breakfast thing with Avery and took her to school for me. Henry and I are about to head out to do some shopping and some scouting for some new items for the house… Because, of course, I’ve done absolutely fucking NOTHING yet. And, I’m about to hit panic mode shortly. Good thing my mom is coming to get the kids and we can make an exchange… The kids for a hand full of something from her big bag of tricks that will help me stay calm (and feeling oh, so good.)
Have a great ERD morning… I’ll be back for some Friday Search Term Fun a little later… In the meantime, please send up a little prayer or some positive energy or chant while rubbing a chicken bone, whatever it is you do, to help me make it through the day until my mom gets here with a handful of her little magical blue pills, k? Thanks.
