Mema (my ever sweet, loving, epitome of the matriarchal Southern Grandmother) is coming to stay with us for a few days… My uncle is sick (he has severe cluster headaches and is having his worst bout ever,) so my mom is bringing her to us for a few days. She needs constant care and my uncle, who lives with her and cares for her pretty much 24/7, can’t do that when he can’t get out of bed.
The Life Saver baby sitter, Megan, is coming today so that I can dementia-proof the house… And, even in her addled state, she will notice if my house isn’t spit-shined. I also have to get the guestroom in Mema Ready Condition and clear up any toys of Avery’s and “Um… Um… What’s his name?? Frank?”‘s Henry’s toys. (She cannot remember Henry’s name, even though he is named after her adoring husband of fifty something years…) We don’t want anymore broken hips. Especially on my watch.
So, sorry to go MIA on you, but I’m sure Mema will provide some excellent blog fodder.
Cristin, I made need some help here…
