It was spectacular inside… Although, the guys walked in and screamed “Beetlegeuse! Beetlegeuse! Beetlegeuse!” They tried to get me to write that in the guestbook… Um, no. I do have to say, it wasn’t my personal taste, but it was very nice. Everything was modernish, sleek, and black and red… Being the Georgia girl that I am, I thought more of the Georgia Bulldogs than of the pesky bio-exorcist, but whatever. (Even though I’m not a UGA fan, just to clear the air… Round here, we’re Tech Fans. But, don’t get me wrong, I’ll root for them if I have to…)
(I guess it does sort of remind me of him…)
Anyway, we had plenty of space, two master suites, both with the perfect pack ‘n play sized closet for little Henry Potter, tons of room for the kids, a third story widow’s walk with a wet bar and hot tub… Porches, with oh so comfy rockers, everywhere… Off of every room… Top of the line kitchen and baths… A nice big ice maker. It was heaven. AND it was, oh, 50 yards from the 12,000 sq. ft. pool. (The picture just doesn’t do it justice.)
The kids loved it! And they looked so very cute in their little bathing suits!
Thanks to Ike, we couldn’t really spend too much time on the beach, though. The weather was spectacular, but the ocean was very rough and you weren’t even allowed to get near the beach the first two days (Although, some folks snuck on… *wink*wink*) So, we enjoyed sunny skies, albeit cloudy. And not like rainclouds, blue skies with nice, fluffy white clouds… Just lots of them. It made it breezy and cool! Perrrrrrrfect.
We ate tons of seafood, drank adult bevs, soaked up the sun and had tons of laughs!
Then we came home to Noah’s Arc… No shit.
Don’t know if these pics really show the gargantuan size of this behemoth, but it’s fricking huge. The Mister and I just stood gaping at it… Not knowing what to say… So, we called the Gs over to gape with us and drank some more beer. How’s that for ending a great vacation?
(We love you Gs!)
