My poor baby is going back to the doctor this morning. He was up from 4:40 until 6:15ish. I am soooooo tired. (See, this is exactly why I don’t usually drink on weeknights. Good thing I don’t feel too hung, just tired. Dumb ass me.) The Mister was up til 2 working again and had to be out the door to head back down to Savannah at 7. So, I was the one that got up with him. It’s better that I did, anyway, because Mister Man just doesn’t have the “Mommy Touch” when it comes to the little guy. He is truly a momma’s boy. Anyway, I’m really worried… He almost acted like his reflux was extremely bad, but he hasn’t had reflux in a month or so. He coughed and sputtered and arched his back and cried non-stop. His chest is really rattling. It sounds just awful. I’m really concerned that the mild bronchitis has turned into something mean and nasty. Aves is going to school this morning and I begged my way into the dr.’s office. Muuuuch easier to go with just one of them.
I think this is a Starbucks morning. I don’t even have time to brew coffee and drink it…. I’m thinking of asking my mother-in-law over later and then sneaking away for nap while she is playing with Avery.
ETA: He is now on more antibiotics and albuterol three times daily… Oh, and an ear infection. Poor baby. And, getting out of here this morning was a comedy of errors.. I had to take Aves to the dr. with us. Mister took my carseat out last night and I went out in the pouring rain this morning to load up and there was no carseat. He took his keys with him out of town, of course, and has no idea where the spare set is. Great. So, I had to get the PITA to install carseat out of the garage and put it in, in the pouring rain. I looked like someone poured a bucket of water over my head. Then once I finally got us all in, I lost my keys in the turmoil. I ran in and got my spare set… Get in crank the car and reach up… No garage door opener. So, I get out, in the pouring rain, and run in the garage and shut it behind me. Go out the front door and turn to lock it, and realize that I don’t have a housekey with my spare carkeys… So, I have to go back out the garage and tear my car apart looking for my keys. Did I mention it was pouring rain? Finally found them, but had no time to take Avery to school, had had no caffeine and was almost in tears. I held back many dirty words… It was a great way to start the day. I think I will kill Mister Man when he gets home.
But, Avery did such a great job at the dr.’s office! And we were there almost 2.5 hours! I think she deserves a treat. And, I did get my Starbucks. Venti….
